I’m a freelance writer and photographer living on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi.  My first book, Under Surge, Under Siege, the Odyssey of Bay St. Louis and Katrina was published in June, 2010, by University Press of Mississippi and awarded the 2010 Eudora Welty Book Prize and the 2011 Mississippi Library Association’s 2011 Author Award for Non-fiction.
